How does the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model work?
Seoscan performs most of its checks locally without any API. However, for AI Fixes, you need to provide your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key via environment variables. For GEO audits, you need a Perplexity API key. You only pay the exact API cost to those providers (usually fractions of a cent per audit).
How do I activate my Pro license?
After checkout, your license key is sent immediately to your email. Open your terminal and run seoscan auth YOUR_KEY. That's it. It will securely save the key to ~/.seoscan-pro and instantly unlock all premium features like Excel export and unlimited CSV rows.
Is my data private?
Yes. Seoscan runs entirely on your local machine. It connects directly to the target websites and to the AI providers (OpenAI/Perplexity). Your data, your URLs, and your API keys never touch our servers.
